Multi-Network Digests
Table of Contents
Overview
Multi-Network Digests let you include several networks, such as web articles and social networks, in a single NewsWhip digest. Before, you needed a separate digest for each network, and each one arrived as its own email. With Multi-Network Digests, you get one scheduled email that shows the top content, engagement totals, and change over time for every network you've selected, so it's easier to compare activity across networks and share one consistent update with your stakeholders.
What you can do
You can create one digest that covers two or more networks from the same search. You can add or remove networks from an existing digest at any time, without recreating it. You can see, for every included network, the total values, a highlights statement, and the percent change from the previous period, followed by that network's top articles or posts. If your digest includes web articles, you can keep AI-generated Themes turned on alongside your social networks. In the Alerts Centre, you can see which networks a digest includes from the network icons shown on it. You can also still create single-network digests, which work exactly as they did before.
How to use
To create a Multi-Network Digest, start the regular Create Digest flow from a dashboard search or from the Alerts Centre. Select a search if prompted, then choose Digest. Under Select Networks, choose two or more networks. Set your frequency, schedule, and recipients as usual, then click Create Digest. A confirmation appears letting you know a digest was created for the networks you chose, and the digest appears in the Alerts Centre as a single item with icons for its networks.
To add or remove networks from an existing digest, open the digest in the Alerts Centre and edit it. All available networks are shown, with your current networks already selected. Select or deselect networks, then save. Your changes take effect only after you save, and a confirmation lets you know the digest was updated.
To combine digests you already have, edit one of your existing digests to add the networks covered by your other digests, save it, and then delete the digests you no longer need. Existing digests are not merged automatically.
