AI Dashboard Builder FAQ

What is AI Dashboard Builder?
AI Dashboard Builder allows you to create dashboards using natural language. Describe what you want to monitor and the system generates searches, applies relevant filters, and creates a dashboard designed to surface insights quickly.
Can I compare multiple brands or topics?
Yes. AI Dashboard Builder supports comparison requests. For example: "Compare coverage of Tesla and Rivian in US media."
The AI asked me a clarifying question, is that expected?
Yes. When a request is ambiguous (e.g., a brand name could refer to multiple things, or the scope isn't clear), the AI will ask a follow-up question before building the dashboard. This ensures the output matches what you actually want. Simply answer the question in the chat and the dashboard will be generated from there.
Can I still edit the dashboard after creation?
Yes. The generated dashboard is a starting point and can be edited just like any manually created dashboard. This includes modifying searches, adjusting filters, adding widgets, and changing time ranges.
What happens if I name a platform like Snapchat or WhatsApp in my request?
Platform names can mean two things: a brand to monitor coverage of, or a data source to pull content from. AI Dashboard Builder will ask a clarifying question if it's unclear. If you want to monitor media coverage of Snapchat as a brand, it will treat it as a subject. If you're asking to pull data from Snapchat as a source platform, that is not currently supported. When in doubt, be explicit. For example: "Monitor coverage of Snapchat in the media" rather than just "Monitor Snapchat."
Can I regenerate a dashboard if I don't like the output?
Yes. If the generated dashboard doesn't match expectations, you can go back, refine your original prompt, and rebuild. You can also edit individual searches within the dashboard manually after creation, just as you would with any dashboard built from scratch.
The AI didn't interpret my request correctly, what should I do?
Some requests can be interpreted in multiple ways. For example, "Monitor Snapchat" or "Track Apple" may require additional context. Adding specifics (geography, time range, type of coverage) generally improves results. You can also use the feedback banner at the top of the generated dashboard to flag issues.
What are the smart suggestions on the homepage?
Smart suggestions are three pre-populated prompt examples shown on the AI Dashboard Builder homepage, designed to help you get started quickly by showing what kinds of dashboards are possible.
How are smart suggestions generated?
They are generated by AI based on your team name. The system identifies your vertical (Brand, Media, or Other) and generates three relevant suggestions tailored to that context.
Can I edit a smart suggestion?
You can click a suggestion to use it as your starting prompt and modify it from there before generating.
How do I update my team name to improve suggestions?
Team admins can update the team name in account settings. The cleaner and more accurate the name, the better the suggestions will be.
Why isn't the suggestion referencing something in the news right now?
Smart suggestions are not connected to live news or real-time signals. They are drawn from a curated list of broad, relevant topics rather than current events.
I clicked a suggestion and got an empty or low-content dashboard, why?
This can happen if the suggested topic is too niche or if there isn't enough recent coverage in the platform. Try broadening the search terms or adjusting the prompt.
Why does my suggestion reference a competitor I don't recognise?
The system infers likely competitors based on your team name and industry. These are AI-generated and may not reflect your actual competitive set. Edit the prompt to swap in the competitors most relevant to you.
